The 9th annual MID MAIN ART FAIR will be held on Sunday, June 9, from 11- 6 p.m. at the elegant HERITAGE HALL, 3102 Main Street, Vancouver, BC V5T 3G7. Created to help showcase and sell original art from emerging and established artists in the greater Vancouver area.
This wonderful group of established artists will showcase work from abstraction to realism creating stunning art, in a variety of mediums such as watercolors, acrylic, oil, photography, sculpture, and printmaking.

Abstract / Realism Show
at North Vancouver Arts Council
I’m looking forward to doing this group exhibition, Abstract / Realism which will feature 4 of my works.
Exhibition Statement
This exhibition challenges twelve visual artists to create work in two opposing styles, requiring them to push their creative limits. Composing two works – one following a realist approach, and the other abstracted, using the same subject.
All artists in this exhibition predominantly work in either abstract or realist styles. Some favouring to create compositions of abstracted form and colour, removed from exact representation. Others choosing to create work based in realism, creating accurate, representational depictions of their subjects and daily life.
The concept behind Abstract / Realism is not only designed for artists. We all have a comfort zone that we like to inhabit, a place that is safe and familiar. This exhibition helps us look at what happens when we step out of the familiarity of our comfort zones and start to defy our personal norms.
Through the act of painting in an opposing style to what they are used to, each artist in this show is facing their fears, entering the unknown, and displaying work that will be unfamiliar and potentially unrecognizable to their captive audience. Stepping out of our comfort zone allows us to embrace the new, display our vulnerabilities, and face potential failure, but, also transition and transform.

Live Painting Performance at Art Saved My Life
I’ve been invited to do a live painting performance of nudes from life at an art and dance exhibition, Art Saved My Life, hosted by Your Artistry Inc. on Sat. Mar. 4, 8:30 at Imperial Vancouver.
Vancouver, come out and have some fun with us! There will be art exhibitions, live tattooing, poetry/spoken word, dance performances, an after party and more. I will be painting from the time the door opens at 8:30 till 9:45. So excited to be a part of this! Come by and say hi!

Vancouver dog lovers, West Elm is having a puppy pop up shop Oct. 15-16, Sat. and Sun. 12-4. BC SPCA will be there with puppies who need new homes. I will be painting dog portraits on Sunday 12-4pm, come by to meet the puppies and say hi!
